The call of Pope Francis of “helping is always right” was heard by many of our family in St. Malachy. It is with great pleasure I share and announce that as a school we reached and surpassed our goal of collecting 135 blankets and a total of 152 were collected.
To further the experience of serving those in need, a group of students and parents join an organization called Hiccups Pizza Project to deliver the blankets. To take part in servings many in Skid Row in Los Angeles was a excellent way to continue cultivating positive values and a sense of taking part in changing the world.
Thank you to all students and parents who took part in our service project both by donating and directly serving our neighbors.
